On May 16, 2025, the VII All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference "Luhansk Region: Local History Explorations" was held in the city of Lubny.

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University entered the TOP-30 best higher education institutions in Ukraine according to the results of accreditation examinations for 2019–2024, taking 30th place among 208 Ukrainian universities.
