Guest Lecture on Youth Policy Development and Project Management
On March 6, 2026, a guest lecture by Demian Yaroslavovych Petryk, Deputy Executive Director of the NGO “Youth Platform”, Chairman of the Supervisory Council of the Ukrainian Youth Fund, was held at the Social Pedagogy Department. The topic of the lecture was “Drivers of Youth Policy: Center Management and the Art of Projects”.
The event was attended by applicants for the bachelor’s and master’s students majoring in I10 “Social Work and Counseling” and 231 “Social Work” under the educational programs “Social Work and Counseling. Psychosocial Services”, “Social Work. Social Pedagogy. Practical Psychology” and “Social Work”.
The meeting was organized within the framework of the implementation of the elective discipline “Youth Policy and Youth Work”, which is implemented under the project “Youth Participation and Politics: Strengthening Youth Involvement, Governance, Budgeting and Development of Life Skills in Lviv, Volyn and Transcarpathian Regions”, which is implemented by the NGO “Youth Platform” with the support of UNICEF and funding from the Government of Germany through the German state development bank KfW.
During the guest lecture, the speaker highlighted current approaches to the formation and implementation of youth policy in Ukraine, outlined the role of youth centers as important institutions for the development of youth initiatives and civic activism. Considerable attention was paid to the issues of effective management of youth centers, the features of the development and implementation of youth projects, as well as the possibilities of involving youth in project activities.
Participants had the opportunity to ask questions to the speaker, discuss the prospects for the development of youth projects and receive practical advice on implementing their own ideas.
The event became an important platform for professional dialogue, expanding knowledge in the field of youth policy and developing project culture among young people. The organizers express their sincere gratitude to the speaker for a meaningful and inspiring lecture.
