Defending the freedom and independence of Ukraine on March 22, 2023 near Lyman during a combat mission, our 3rd-year part-time student majoring in Agronomy Volodymyr Volodymyrovych Tolkachev, was killed.
Volodymyr served since 2019. For his military merits, he was awarded the "Defender of Ukraine" and "War Veteran-Participant in Combat" medals.
The dead soldier left a wife and a small daughter.
Our university and faculty family extend our deepest condolences to the family of the fallen soldier.
Heroes do not die, they remain forever in our hearts!
