Open Lecture by Vitalii Skakun
On April 23, an open lecture by People's Artist of Ukraine Vitalii Mykhailovych Skakun was held at the Department of Musical Art and Choreography of the Educational and Research Institute of Arts. The event was dedicated to the history of the creation of the Poltava Symphony Orchestra.
For almost a quarter of a century, he was the director of the Symphony Orchestra of the Poltava Regional Music and Drama Theater. The maestro shared the history of the orchestra's creation: how it all began in 2000, what the first rehearsals were like, who stood at the origins and how love for music overcame any difficulties.
It was a lively, sincere conversation about art, the path, mistakes, victories - and the people who created the symphonic history of Poltava with him - from the first rehearsal to the great sound.
We are sincerely grateful to Vitalii Mykhailovych for the meeting and are proud to have such a master among the teachers of the Department of Musical Art and Choreography.
