Internet Safety Day
Since the digital space is an integral part of professional life for our student community, the main focus of the conversation was on the real threats that lurk online users. Ms. Anna focused in detail on financial security issues, revealing the most common fraud schemes in online banking and emphasizing the rules of secure payments, password protection and two-factor authentication. She explained using examples from experience how attackers use social engineering methods to gain access to accounts, and how vigilance can protect your own funds from cybercriminals.
A separate and extremely acute topic of discussion was the problem of recruiting the population through social networks and messengers. The inspector warned about the danger of involving young people in illegal activities, the use of manipulative technologies and urged students to be as critical as possible of offers from strangers online who may have hidden criminal purposes.
Students had the opportunity to ask questions about how to recognize a recruiter at an early stage and where to turn in case of suspicious activity on the Internet. This meeting was not just a lecture, but a lively dialogue that helped each attendee better understand the limits of their own responsibility for their own safety and the safety of their country.
We sincerely thank Anna Fesenko for her professional expertise and timely warnings, because in today’s world, where digital and physical reality are intertwined, awareness is our most powerful protection.
