In 2025, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University successfully passed state certification in three scientific areas – “Social”, “Natural and Mathematical”, “Humanities and Arts”, which were included in category B.

In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 02.02.2026, the university was included in the State Register of Scientific Institutions Provided with Financial Support by the State.

Financial support for the university will be designed to finance scientific research and scientists conducting it.

One of the priority areas of activity of the university administration and scientists is the constant increase in revenues from all sources of funding, in particular, based on the results of scientific and scientific and technical work (including under economic agreements), international cooperation projects, the results of the provision of scientific and educational services, etc. This ensures the financial stability of the university and is the basis for its sustainable development.
