Information Security: Without Restrictions and Embellishments
The speaker of the course was journalist-practitioner Igor Oleksandrovych Sereda. The event is being implemented within the framework of a large-scale project “Institutionalization of interaction between a higher education institution and territorial communities as a factor in the restoration and preservation of human capital in conditions of martial law and post-war reconstruction of the country”.
Mission and strategic goal
Today, information resilience is not only a personal skill, but also a component of public security and responsible citizenship. The course is aimed at increasing the level of information literacy, critical thinking, and culture of working with information among different groups of the population, starting with active youth.
Key objectives of the course:
Teaching basic skills: mastering the hygiene of the digital space by opinion leaders who will spread this knowledge in their communities.
Intellectual development: increasing the general level of erudition and stimulating the desire for lifelong learning.
Civic position: overcoming social apathy and activating the social role of community residents, youth in particular.
The educational process is organized in the format of theory through dialogue and game, which involves a long and deep immersion in the topic during a cycle of 40 weekly classes lasting 1.5 hours each. Instead of classic lectures, the program is based on the principles of interactivity, combining live dialogue with the audience, concise theoretical blocks and modern teaching methods, such as informal game forms, standard communication practices, analysis of practical cases and homework.
The program is comprehensive. In addition to working with information, students will master the practices of breathing exercises, speech development techniques and the basics of rhetoric, which is critically important for successful public and professional activities.
