The event was attended by the university students and pupils of the Vasyl Barka Gymnasium of the Lubny City Council.

The celebration began with the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine and a minute of silence in honor of the memory of the defenders who gave their lives for the freedom of our state. The event was organized by LTSNU together with the Vasyl Barka Gymnasium with the support of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.

The participants heard the address of the President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Vadym Gutzait, which was read by the Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine Oleksandr Dubovoi. The rector of the university Olena Karaman addressed the audience with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of the development of the Olympic movement and sports traditions of LTSNU.

During the event, significant sporting achievements of students and graduates of the university were noted, who over the years of its existence have won 35 Olympic medals. The attendees were presented with the achievements of outstanding athletes – Olympic champions and medalists, who glorified the university on the international arena.

The festive atmosphere was complemented by performances by the cheerleading teams “Andean Condors” of the Hero of Ukraine Gymnasium named after Vira Roik and “Brown Bears” of the Academic Lyceum “European”, as well as a musical performance by the university students together with a teacher from the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports Marharyta Shaforost.

At the end of the event, a quiz “Olympic Movement Expert” was held, which aroused keen interest among young people and contributed to the popularization of the ideals of Olympism, a healthy lifestyle and team spirit. The winners were awarded with applause, gifts and commemorative awards.

The holiday of the Olympic Flag became a vivid example of the unity of young people around the values ​​​​of sport, patriotism and mutual support. The event once again proved that Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University carefully preserves sports traditions and educates a new generation of active, conscious and strong-spirited citizens of Ukraine.
