The event, organized by the All-Ukrainian Public Organization “Innovative University”, brought together the academic community from all over the country to discuss tools, cases, university support and best practices of internationalization of higher education.

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University was represented by: Margaryta Kravchenko – Head of the Department of Quality Management of Educational Activities, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language and Journalism; Maksym Saibekov – Deputy Head, Head of the Accreditation and Licensing Sector, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Design and Media Production. The purpose of the visit was to gain the necessary experience in undergoing international accreditation, organizing the work of a team, choosing an accreditation agency and planning activities to prepare educational programs of our university for international evaluation.

Among the key topics discussed during the meetings: strategic priorities in the internationalization of higher education institutions of Ukraine; scientific diplomacy in the context of internationalization; preparation of competitive candidates for the events of the National Center of the Baltic University Programme in Ukraine; the role of the Twinning program in strengthening Ukrainian universities; opportunities for receiving scholarships and grants from the Visegrad Fund; tools for academic internationalization; organizational aspects and features of microproject implementation. Representatives of Uzhhorod National University presented the experience of successful projects under the INTERREG program. A practical session of COIL Project Management was also held.

The presentations of TOP speakers in the TED format, panel discussions, workshops, individual and group lessons were moderated by: Taras FINIKOV – Candidate of Historical Sciences, President of the ICF “International Foundation for Educational Policy Research”, Professor of the University of Warsaw, Member of the Board of the VGO “Innovative University”; Teodozia YATSYSHYN – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Coordinator of the Center for Strategic Development of the Ivano-Frankivsk National University of Oil and Gas; Hanna MELEHANYCH – Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of International Studies and Public Communications, Faculty of History and International Relations, Director of the Resource Center for Sustainable Development of the State Higher Educational Institution “Uzhhorod National University”.

We thank the organizers of the VI Winter School for the opportunity to join the discussion of ways to internationalize universities. We wish all participants fruitful cooperation in the preparation and presentation of microprojects.
