Meeting with the Head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration O. Kharchenko
The topic of the meeting was a discussion of the state and prospects for the development of the educational system of the Luhansk region, in particular higher education, both in the conditions of war and the post-war restoration of the temporarily occupied Luhansk region after de-occupation.
Oleksii Kharchenko emphasized the importance of training personnel of various profiles for the de-occupation and reintegration of the Luhansk region into the Ukrainian legal field; strengthening the scientific potential of universities for the high-tech and innovative development of the de-occupied territories; the role of educators in the formation of national consciousness, state position, and resilience among the population as a means of national security.
Vitalii Kurylo and Olena Karaman told Oleksii Kharchenko about the history and achievements of the university; outlined the strategic directions of the university's development both in the conditions of displacement and return to the de-occupied territory of the Luhansk region.
The meeting resulted in a proposal by the head of the Regional State Administration to develop and present scientifically based concepts for training specialists in managing the deoccupied territory of the region by the universities of Luhansk region, taking into account the specifics and strengths of the institutions that have developed in the process of their development, and then to formulate a common vision for the development of the Luhansk region.
Vitalii Kurylo and Olena Karaman agreed with this proposal, noting its strategic importance. The university leaders presented the head with three monographs on the history of the Luhansk region and the results of scientific projects on the problem of forming critical thinking as a means of citizen security in conditions of armed violence and information aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
The meeting turned out to be constructive and important in terms of forming a common vision of the image of the future of the Luhansk region as an eastern outpost of Ukrainian statehood.
